In 1955, the office was approached by the Armed Forces Insurance Fund to design a residential building along the Nile in Garden city. Shortly after construction, the Armed Forces Insurance Fund sold the property to the Egyptian Touristic Company who wanted to convert the building into a hotel, which was later named the “Nile Hotel”. The office was then contracted to make the necessary interior changes to the building, and the hotel opened in late 1965. The war of 1967 lead business to slow down at the hotel and for it to shut down operations shortly after. In the 2000s, Kempinski were brought forth to become the hotel operators for the building, and it was subsequently converted into the Kempinski Nile Hotel.
